Living in the Amazon

A year later and still don’t believe i went to this place…

The only way to move around on the Amazon: by small boats.

I was like week and a half on the Amazon, from Leticia to Manaus, is really beautiful and at the same time harsh, but the pictures taken are all worth it.

On the Hotel there was a path of 450 mts. that walks towards the jungle, so you can safely explore.

I have no idea how people can live there, on rainy seasons the water levels rises so high that you can't go anywhere unless you have a canoe.

There was a really bored dog in one of this houses that can't go anywhere because of the water levels.

It really looks big, like a lake but actually the Amazon is really wide in some points.

I'm pretty sure there must be a lot of hidden animals in this photo

As always, this was taken with an iPhone 5S using Blux Camera Pro set at HDR and Back Lit, then adjusting some lightning with LightRoom.

I don’t like putting a lot of filters and vintage effects on the photos (although there is talented people who use it with amazing results), it ends up looking like a cheap colorful cake (like the ones you buy at Sanborns) sometimes some subtle effects can really make the difference but i don’t use it very often, i guess with the HDR is more than enough.

This photos are almost a year old (i really take long to open this blog) and actually I’m testing some other photo apps, so if you got some suggestions ill be happy to hear it.
